**CHANGES TO VOLUNTEER PROGRAM HAVE OCCURRED AND HAVE BEEN APPLIED TO 2023 SEASON.**
In the past few years we've seen a great decline in people willing to help out with tasks around the club. As our board is operated by volunteers, this has put too much work on the shoulders of few.
With this program we hope to encourage more people to help out and continue to have a great place to play.
How does it work?
-There will be a $50.00 delayed charge per registrant (player) added to your registration.
-If you do not complete your volunteer hours by the end of the season, the $50.00 charge will be applied to your credit card on October 15th, for each player whose hours were not completed.
-Each $50.00 charge will be equal to 2 hrs of volunteer work.
Things to note:
- It is each registrants/family's responsibility to stay on top of volunteer requirements and hours completed, should you not wish to have your credit card charged. The Volunteer Coordinator will not be sending out individual reminders to families to prompt volunteerism.
- Volunteer roles are worth a different number of volunteer credits. Multi-player credits ONLY apply to members within nuclear family household, and not across broader family relations. Grandparents volunteering on behalf of children/grandchildren is the only exception. Please pay attention to the information below and on the volunteer job registration website for details on how many credits (or hours) the job is worth.
- Volunteer opportunities are on a first come, first serve basis. This is the only way to ensure fairness and equal access to opportunity across the club. We apologize that we cannot accommodate all family and individual situations.
- As a club, we do not get involved in matters of custody and access. It is up to the parents to navigate completion of volunteer hours and/or payment of the volunteer fee in line with their own custody and access arrangements. We will not act as a mediator for communication, and will not be dividing the fee between parents. That remains the responsibility of the parents alone. Taxandria Soccer Club will charge the credit card on file used to register in the Spring for the volunteer fee, if applicable.
Any questions, please contact taxandriavolunteer@gmail.com
If you are already volunteering your time to the club for one or more of the major jobs below ALL your volunteer fees are taken care off for all players registered within your nuclear family household, unless otherwise specified.
